Chlorine-Senstivities Wouldn’t Be An Issue With Chlorine-Free pool pumps

About 14 years ago, when the kids still lived at home, we built our swimming pool. From thereon, we’ve been using chlorine-based winterizing kits for purification. For many years, this seemed like the most logical thing to use. pool accessories

However, about two years ago, we noticed the chlorine seemed to have a negative impact on my wife. Her skin and hair became very sensitive to the chlorine. This disallowed her to swim in our pool each week and it even reached the point where she has to stop using the pool entirely. The results let us down considering the amount of money we spent to install the pool. Also, her doctor was encouraging Linda to do her exercises in the pool following successful hip replacement surgery the previous year.

While this dilemma was going on within us, trying to decide whether Linda should stay out of the pool completely when we built the pool to aid in her healing, we understood the importance of keeping the swimming pool clean and using proper maintenance. As the days marched on, we were facing the annual ritual of preparing the pool and closing it for the winter.

It has been our priority to use quality winterizing chemicals for our pool since day one. One of the first things we gathered from our research in building a pool was the importance of following procedures for winterizing the pool. We learned that winterizing kits contain all of the specially formulated pool chemicals that you need to get your pool ready for the months when it will sit unused. The proper chemicals will provide protection for your swimming pool in case of damage arising from water contamination, normal wear and tear and whenever the water freezes. In line with this, it will also make it easier to open the pool when spring comes, these preventive measures will extend the life of your pool.

And since my wife has chlorine-sensitivities, we began to look for alternatives. We knew that it was too risky to simply stop using a winterizing kit altogether. A quick search online led us to 1800pools. com, where we were pleased to learn that it is possible to purchase winterizing kits that do not contain chlorine. Chemical kits devoid of chlorine are as effective in killing algae and other winterizing substances and still provide a great sanitizing power.

The 1800 Pools web site has a user friendly interface and ordering was easy and best of all, the winterizing kits cost less than those sold at local shops. The chlorine-free winterizing kits were easy to use and by the time spring came, our pool was in great condition.

The good news is my wife is enjoying the pool, once again, but this time without feeling the irritation that the chlorine caused each time we opened the pool. She has resumed her pool exercises and on the overall, it has made our life’s activities a lot better than before. swimming pool filters
